Public Relations and Marketing Firm Recognized for Excellence In Media Relations In Support
of enviroCAB and Brochure for Rockville Economic Development, Inc.
 Van Eperen Public Relations received three industry awards for a public affairs and media relations campaign and a campaign brochure in 2008. –Van Eperen Public Relations (VE PR) (www.vepublicrelations.com) received two Silver Inkwell Signature of Excellence awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Washington/Baltimore on Thursday, Oct. 23. The awards recognized the firm’s media relations campaign surrounding the approval and launch of Arlington County’s first environmentally friendly taxicab service, enviroCAB, as well as a brochure created to educate visitors on how to use a new parking system in Rockville Town Center, on behalf of Rockville Economic Development, Inc.

Nearly 100 business professionals celebrated the accomplishments of Washington-area communicators at the annual IABC Washington/Baltimore Awards Gala held at Top of the Town in Rosslyn, VA. The prestigious awards allow the area communications community to recognize their peers for memorable and effective work in more than 30 categories. Other 2008 award winners included MedStar Health, the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Marriott International, the American Red Cross, Raytheon Information Solutions, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
The Silver Inkwell honors are VE PR’s second and third awards received in 2008. In September, the firm was also recognized by colleagues with a PRSA-NCC Thoth Certificate of Excellence for a public affairs campaign on behalf of enviroCAB.
