Strategic Communications Firm, Van Eperen & Company, Takes Home Three Industry Awards for Public Awareness Work in Healthcare and Aerospace Industries
Bethesda, Md. – Van Eperen and Company (VE & Co.) was honored with two 2009 Silver Inkwell Awards and one Thoth Award this fall for the firm’s outstanding work in the healthcare and aerospace industries in 2008.
“The awards from our communications peers are icing on the cake for our team at VE & Co.,” said Laura Van Eperen, CEO, VE & Co. “For us, the cake was performing the work. We enjoyed partnering with the Maryland Health Care Commission and the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) to educate Maryland businesses and consumers about health insurance cost-sharing and to inform Americans about the aerospace workforce shortage and how the AIA is mitigating it through the Team America Rocketry Challenge.”
VE & Co. received the Silver Inkwell Awards of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) – Washington Chapter, and the Thoth Award/Certificate of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – Washington Chapter.
With more than 640 members, IABC /Washington is the largest IABC chapter in the United States, and the second largest in the world. The group consists of a diverse group of communicators who work in the public and private sector as consultants, independent business owners, and corporate staff in such diverse fields as marketing, advertising, corporate communications, government relations, human resource communications and shareholder relations.
