Van Eperen Public Relations Adds Emily Grant as New Account Coordinator
University of Delaware Graduate Brings Local, Diverse Experience to Communications Consulting Firm
–Van Eperen Public Relations (VE PR), www.vepublicrelations.com, a full-service public relations and marketing firm in Montgomery County, Md., has named Emily Grant the firm’s Account Coordinator.
Grant has public relations experience with the Corporate Communications department at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, LP, the Community Relations department with the Washington Redskins, and a PR firm in the Washington, D.C. area. Through these diverse work experiences, Grant assisted with Columbia, Md.’s “McDonald’s McSoccerfest” event, supported media relations efforts with the 2006 Legg Mason Tennis Classic and promoted the “Redskins Read” Community Outreach Program.
Grant is a cum laude graduate of the University of Delaware, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a minor in Spanish. While at the University of Delaware, Grant served as chapter president of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and was a distinct recipient of the Harold F. Kierce Award, an award given to an outstanding senior communication/public relations student “who exhibits the commitment to professional excellence characterized by Mr. Kierce.”

In her spare time, Grant provided communication support to Health Volunteers Overseas, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit organization, and has served as the Facilities Chair in the University of Delaware’s Relay for Life.
