Media Campaigns

Whether you want to create broader awareness about your service or product, or have us help you with a sensitive issue, VE & Co. can help you through our customized media relations outreach. All campaigns are cost-effective and designed to exceed your organization’s goals and work within your budget. VE & Co. offers several different media campaign packages:

Project-Based Outreach

  • Research & Consultation — VE & Co.’s seasoned professionals work with you to research your topic, service or issue and then consult with you on effective messaging to best target the media and your ultimate audience. A campaign plan will be drafted and provided to you for approval. You may choose to add additional research at the beginning of the project to ensure your messages and audiences are on target.
  • Writing & Editing — Between one and four news releases, media alerts and/or story ideas are written and edited to drive timely news coverage for the duration of the project. VE & Co. will work with you to review and approve all materials prior to distribution.
  • Media Outreach — VE & Co. will develop a custom media list and then distribute it to our personally maintained contacts and national database of targeted media in Montgomery County and Washington, D.C. areas, the Chesapeake Region including Baltimore and Richmond and/or national, trade and additional media markets based on your organization’s goals. Distribution includes reporters, editors and producers in radio, television, print and online media as appropriate. All news releases also will include your company’s keywords and be distributed via PRWeb to help drive search engine results. VE & Co. will continue to follow-up with personal contact to key targeted media to secure coverage/interviews.
  • Mini-Media Training — Prior to any interviews, a seasoned VE PR professional will work with you by phone to help you best deliver your messages to the media.
  • Interview Coordination — You will be accompanied by a VE & Co. professional on all interviews and coordination of additional information/follow-up as needed.
  • Regular Updates — VE & Co. will provide you with regular updates (approx. once per week) of your campaign results.
  • Comprehensive Media Monitoring & Reporting — VE & Co. includes comprehensive media monitoring and reporting of all coverage (broadcast clips are an additional fee if not available online).
  • Detailed Invoicing — VE & Co. will provide you with a detailed invoice of our activities and an additional summary of our results upon time of invoice.

Annual Media Outreach (Our best value!)

  • Research & Consultation — VE & Co.’s seasoned professionals work with you to develop a year-long plan of messages and story ideas that support your brand value and help you achieve your marketing goals. VE & Co. recommends upgrading to develop a full customized communications plan (if your organization does not have one already) to serve as your marketing roadmap and help ensure your media outreach best supports your organizational goals. Monthly VE & Co. team meetings including pre-approved agendas and meeting notes drafted by our staff are included.

  • Writing & Editing — A company media kit will be developed (if not already available) including a company fact sheet, spokesperson biography and headshot. One-two news releases, media alerts and/or story ideas written, edited and approved per month.
  • Media Outreach — VE & Co. will develop a custom media list and then distribute it to our personally maintained contacts and national database of targeted media in Montgomery County and Washington, D.C. areas, the Chesapeake Region including Baltimore and Richmond and/or national, trade and additional media markets based on your organization’s goals.   • Opinion & Guest Columns, Editorial Boards & Informational Interviews — Along with timely news coverage, VE & Co. will also seek out opportunities for opinion columns, editorial board meetings and informational interviews to create long lasting media relationships and position you as a source for quality news information.
